I haven't played in months though. There's a new system that works as an app that is supposed to rank players http://www.virtualr.net/sim-racing-system-ac-now-available maybe this will turn things around for AC? And honestly I haven't driven it for a long time so I don't exactly remember how it felt before. At least it seems to run very smooth on my new pc.
Weight sensation in AC makes the cars feel kinda wobbly (if that's a word). I guess it's just something to get used to. I still prefer braking in rf2. Also rf2 has better feel to sliding. Also I don't somehow like gear shifting in AC, but it might be because I'm not used to proper drivetrain model. Haven't checked the state of AC multiplayer, but reading the forums I kinda get the sense that the game interests more cruisers than racers. I hope I'm wrong. I could have time for two sims (actually I also have Dirt rally and Automobilista) Posted by: Chad Brown« on: April 07, 2016, 12:58:21 am »Since reinstalling my OS I have not yet reinstalled AC. Frankly for me it wasnt the Sim I was hoping for. It is a fun game to drive asnd the online community is more robust for pickup games. However, the DLC that they released left me feeling a bit underwhelmed and I simply did not feel compelled to continue playing it. I enjoy racing Race cars. Street cars and exotics dont have much pull for me with respect to driving them in a game. But to each their own.

I find the sense of immersion with the Lotus 25 absolutely amazing. The way everything comes together is top notch; graphics, sounds, physics and ffb. As a side note in comparison with the Historic F3s in rF2. The ISI tires have much greater grip. So much more so that they turn significantly faster laptimes with about 1/2 the power and correspondingly lower top speeds. |
